Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff is no stranger to the internet’s attention. Just this week, her fashion choices at the Democratic National Convention sent conservatives into a spiral. But now, her brother Cole Emhoff has captured the gays’ attention, thanks to the special kind of representation he’d be bring to the White House as the nation’s First Son.

Two shirtless pics of Emhoff at the beach just went viral, thanks to a post on X pointing out that “America deserves a First Son who’s an otter.” Indeed, Emhoff fits right into the gay subculture, which includes men on the skinnier side with lots of body hair.

Gays across the internet quickly took notice, adding Emhoff to their list of celebrity crushes. Some pointed out that he looks just like his dad Doug Emhoff, who recently went viral for a handsome picture from his younger years.

In honor of Emhoff’s newly dubbed otter-dom, some folks imagined the otter flag flying high over Harris’ America (or even the bear flag, if she’s trying to corner two gay markets at once).

Others noted that he and his sister Ella run the gamut of queer aesthetics, representing for thirsty gays and Bushwick sapphics respectively.

But unfortunately for his newfound legion of gay fans, Emhoff is already married — and married to a woman, at that. He and his wife Greenley Littlejohn have been married since October of 2023, but just because he’s taken doesn’t mean the gays can’t dream.
